The best way to feel separated from yourself and from existence itself is to take something external and attach to it the familiar image of the Truth of your being.
It is one of the biggest traps humanity has had to face since forever. Remember the ‘do not create false idols’? Here we are. At the same lesson thousands of years later.
Who we are, what we are, what our true being is like - we never truly forget it. There is always the remembrance within.
It is like the memory of an extremely delicious taste. So delicios that even thinking about it for a second you start craving it like crazy. It just tickles your taste buds and pours with an avalanche of emotions and memories.
It is like a wonderful fresh familiar smell that automatically moves your steps towards its direction when you sense it.
Like when you touch a soft material and you just cannot stop rubbing it cus it feels so good.
Exactly like this, our true being never truly leaves us. We forget it, we go deep in the sleep we call our lives. But the tiniest resemblance of this familiar taste can send us in doing immense quests of finding IT without even realizing what we are doing.
This is the primal law and purpose of existence. To remember. To find that ‘taste/smell/sensation’ we so desperately crave, but is so faint that it s impossible to catch it even for a second.
So these big quests we embark on in our lives are the most natural and primal things we could do. It cannot be any other way. Not searching is not an option. There is not one single soul on this earth that is not on a private intimate personal quest to find it.
It is amazing how the whole humanity is united by the same purpose. We are all in the same quest.
What a great place to be in! An entire Earth of people going in the same direction and searching for the exact same thing. We help each-other, we understand each-other, we are deeply connected through our purpose, we use our individual skills to contribute to the GOAL! Billions and billions of souls united marching together towards a common destination.
OR … ACTUALLY … NOT AT ALL?
So how can it be? If the law of existence says we are all united in this quest of remembrance, why doesn’t it feel this way?
Because of the biggest trap. Remember the false idols?
We are searching in the wrong place. We are all trying to squeeze the Truth of being in a form. It is like trying to find the sphere shape in a 2D plane. It will always be a circle. No matter how hard you try. The truth of being cannot be squeezed in the limited forms our humble material world provides.
But we try nonetheless. We find a form that brings out for a split second the remembrance and then we spend all our effort, energy, time to chase the ghost of that remembrance but by chasing the wrong thing: the form.
THE TRUTH OF YOUR DIVINE BEING IS INFINITE. So it is love, power, freedom, joy-and so much more we don’t have words for. Everything all at once. But what do we do?
Your inner spark is LOVE so all our life we chase for the perfect partener to love us.
Your inner spark is POWER so we burn ourselves out overworking to become ‘important’ and climb the social ladder.
Your inner spark is FREEDOM and we spend all our money on beautiful vacations that leave us more empty and tired at the end.
Your inner spark is JOY and we destroy our bodies with drugs, alcohol, empty partying and substances.
And so we do with everything. We pick the tiniest thing from the infinite and blindly chase it like being the whole. This is how the separation appears between us and within us.
Between us, we are so brain washed with the importance of the form that we forget the essence. And we perceive every quest of finding IT as individual. I am searching for a partener and you are working towards a promotion. It is ‘different’. TWO SEPARATE QUESTS, right?
Within us, we transform all your life in a carrot on a stick game and we have given ourselves a lifelong project.
There are only there ways this can play out. It is like 3 different games on the same board.
1. The lost game
For some the search stops early: they become the victims of their life, give up on the quest, blame the system, the government , the money, the opportunities they didn t have, and just stop and wait for existence to run its course and be pulled back into earth by gravity;
2. The rigged game
For the truly powerful, resilient, determined individuals: They run all their life after the carrot; Some will achieve great wealth, build business, had thousands of partners - ‘amazing results’ but the carrot is still on the stick. They are nowhere near finding the Truth at the end of their life; Full successful lives that feel miserable and empty
3. The TRUE game
And the only remaining way is to WAKE UP!
To break the illusion of the form, to detach the essence from it and truly live as a student of God.
Use the forms as your tools.
Build that false idol, make it 10m high and pray to it every day.
BUT DO NOT FORGET and be fully conscious that your wooden idol is not GOD, is not YOU, is not WHAT YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR.
Do not expect a piece of wood to fulfill your 3 wishes like a ginny in a bottle.
Use it because it helps you come closer to remembering. Use it as a material anchor to make the memory of who you truly are come back again and again until it is not faint anymore, until it is not shallow and flaky.
Use so the remembrance becomes more vivid more real every time you pray until you just ARE that memory. You merge with it and no more wooden statues are needed anymore.
This is the true game we are here to play.
So which one of these games do you want to play during this short time you have on earth?
